Job Summary: The Sales Associate will support the Store Leadership Team to achieve company goals and initiatives. Responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, maintaining product knowledge, and ensuring merchandise presentation standards. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized store and backroom.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to customer activity, prioritizing assistance
- Greet and acknowledge customers, providing appropriate service
- Communicate merchandise value, current promotions, and offer solutions for out-of-stock items
- Address customer concerns effectively
- Apply selling skills to positively impact sales conversion
- Provide accurate service at the cashwrap and educate customers about the PLACE Card
- Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are available
- Follow standards for merchandise presentation, signage, and display
- Keep the stockroom neat, organized, and safe
- Perform daily housekeeping duties
- Follow Loss Prevention procedures to protect company assets
- Report maintenance and facility needs promptly
- Contribute to store goals through focused efforts
- Assist with processing stock as needed
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
Skills and Behaviors:
- Excellent customer engagement skills
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Available to work weekends, evenings, overnights, and call-in shifts
- Physical ability to maneuver on the sales floor and stockroom, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs
