Pulse AHP’s Phlebotomy Team is currently recruiting for experienced Phlebotomists/Healthcare Support Workers to join the team for a role based in the Cornwall area.
These roles will be working locally in the South-West area providing Phlebotomy & Healthcare Research services. To be successful in this role, you MUST have at least 1 year’s experience in drawing blood and proof of competency as a phlebotomist.
This is an established programme looking for new candidates as it moves into its next phase.
Position: Phlebotomist/Healthcare Support Worker

Hours: 2-3 days per week, shift patterns vary

- Driver would be very beneficial due to the sites being mobile.
We are seeking experienced phlebotomists with HCA experience to work at least 2-3 days per week in a 7-day service. The shifts are long, between 7.45am – 6.15pm on weekdays, 8.45am – 5.15pm on Saturdays, and 10.45am – 4.15pm on Sundays.
This position is available immediately. Locations may include Launceston, Truro, Falmouth, Redruth, Penzance, and Newquay, with sites moving every 4-5 weeks, so driving and flexibility to work at different sites are highly beneficial.
The pay rate is up to £20 per hour (umbrella rate) with weekend enhancements, starting from July.
Main responsibilities:
- Complete POCT cholesterol checks, including height, weight, waist measurements, heart rate, and blood pressure, and input data into the system.
- Draw and label two blood samples per participant, ensuring correct storage.
- Monitor participant welfare during appointments and escalate issues as needed.
- Provide signposting, advice, and guidance to participants.
- Prepare samples for courier collection at the end of each shift.

- Willingness to fully register with our agency.
