Our team and the person you\’ll support

You\’ll join a dedicated, well-established and supportive team who provide 1:1 support to an amazing gentleman in his 30\’s who has Autism. As a Support Practitioner, you\’ll help him to maintain his own tenancy along with supporting his day to day personal needs, including meal planning, cooking, support with housework, observations with his medication and prompting with personal care. He will require guidance to establish and adapt routines and prompting for personal care.

This gentleman enjoys being active and getting out most days, so you\’ll find yourself going out for walks, drives in his car and out for a bite to eat. He also loves going to local discos, museums and playing a few rounds at the crazy golf, but enjoys the quiet times too and likes to chill out on his tablet to relax.

About You

You don\’t need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We\’ll pay you for your training and we\’ll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!

All we\’ll need you to bring is: –

  • A caring and compassionate attitude and approach
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • An understanding of the importance of following routines and guidelines
  • Confidence in the use of computers
  • A full, manual UK driving licence with a minimum of 1 year driving experience

Shift Patterns

Our service provides 24/7 care and shift patterns will usually fall into patterns of 1000-1000 hours the following day (includes a sleepover) and will include weekend and public holidays on a rotational basis.

The sleepover part of your shift isn\’t included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional £100.80 for each sleepover worked.
