Purpose of the role
To provide professional HR support, guidance, and advice to managers and employees across our operational sites. The HR Advisor will help ensure HR policies and practices are applied consistently, enhance employee engagement, and support the delivery of HR projects and initiatives aligned with Camiras values and strategic goals.
The day to day
- To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements
- Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees, ensuring adherence to HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Advise on employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and performance management.
- Coordinate core HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, contractual changes, HR system updates, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with employment legislation.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and people strategies aligned with business goals.
- Support engagement, diversity and inclusion, wellbeing, and talent development initiatives, and deliver HR-related training and briefings.
- Assist with recruitment and induction processes, partnering with managers and the in-house recruiter to attract and retain top talent, and build external relationships with educational and industry bodies.
- Produce HR metrics and analytics to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with Camiras values, acting as a visible and proactive HR partner across the business.
Other Considerations
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (preferably working towards Level 5) or equivalent professional HR qualification.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor (or similar role) in a fast-paced environment, with strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Skilled in advising, coaching, and influencing managers on employee relations matters.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in HR systems and reporting tools (desirable), with exposure to international HR considered an advantage.
