Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC), Abbott GmbH is looking for a Market Access & Tender Manager EMEAP (m/f/d), based in Wiesbaden or in one of the EU BIG 5.

Are you passionate about innovating the management of Diabetes across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa and making a transformational impact on patients living with diabetes? We are looking for experienced EMEAP Market Access and Tender Manager (m/f/d) who would like to join our team and improve patient access to innovative sensing technology.
Major Accountabilities
- Develop and drive EMEA market access and tender strategy for ADC product portfolio and ensure market access launch readiness in EMEA tender markets
- Differentiate our products by supporting the markets to adapt or evolve a global value story to a regional healthcare context in order to avoid price erosion and get preference.
- Enhance appropriate communication platforms to reinforce the overarching value messages for our products in the tender applications including areas such as data privacy and sustainability
- Lead an EMEAP tendering task force to systematically understand competitor’s bidding behavior and take an active role in developing the tendering landscape in EMEAP. Advise local teams in tender shaping strategies and bidding behavior leveraging local best practices.
- Introduce and drive a tender management system in the EMEAP tender markets
- Partner with payers and tender authorities in the EMEAP tender markets to develop innovative digital solutions and value modules
- Negotiate for local reimbursement expansion as needed, analyzing and proposing financial offers based on economic models in collaboration with EMEAP finance.
- Travel: Approximately 20% (depending on location)
Education
- Required: Advanced Degree in Science, Economics, Legal or related areas.
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Market Access, Public Health or Legal
Background and Experience
- 5 to 7 years of experience in regional or global reimbursement and market access functions in pharma/medical devices or related functions in payers/market access/healthcare consultancies/disease management organizations.
- Strong background in tender management and analytics
- Strong analytical and project management skills is a must including ability to drive execution of plans with support from other functions
- Proven track record of winning tenders, defending established products and bringing new products into reimbursement
- Additional experience in local tender management is a plus
- Understanding of diabetes and blood glucose measuring business is beneficial
- Diligence, teamwork, and executive communication skills.
