Job Purpose

The Sr Manager Medical Governance for digital and technology supports the Director of Medical Governance in coordinating the review and approval of digital and technology tools in accordance with SAMD and responsible AI framework compliance processes. This role is crucial for maintaining effective AI governance in R&D.

This role also supports the R&D organization in navigating relevant processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Communication and Collaboration: Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding AI governance and SaMD inquiries. Facilitate communication between the R&D AI Governance team, Business Owners, and other departments.
  2. Accountability Report Review: Critically review submissions for completeness and collaborate with Business/Tech Owners to update as needed for reviews.
  3. Review Coordination: Monitor requests, organize briefing materials, provide preliminary assessments, incorporate feedback, schedule expert panels, support decision documentation, and ensure timely follow-up and documentation.
  4. Tracking and Metrics: Maintain records, generate metrics and KPIs.
  5. Medical Governance & Standards: Contribute to developing processes, standards, and tools to ensure safe and ethical use of digital tools in R&D.
  6. Training & Awareness: Support the development of training programs on governance frameworks for stakeholders.
  7. Issue Management: Assist in issue resolution and escalate as needed.
  8. Risk Management: Support the development of strategies to identify and assess risks related to digital health technologies.
  9. Innovation Oversight: Provide consultancy on new digital technologies and applications.
  10. Communication: Support the development of communication strategies for successful deployment of medical governance frameworks.
