THE ROLE
Their strong and highly regarded team in the Energy, Infrastructure, and Natural Resources sectors has one of the largest and most experienced project finance teams in the world, advising clients on the full spectrum of projects and related financing transactions across the energy, infrastructure and natural resources sectors.
They are seeking a talented and experienced associate to join the project finance team in London in a role offering the opportunity to work on high-profile and complex projects in various sectors, in multiple jurisdictions across the developed and emerging markets.
You will be involved in a wide range of project finance matters, across the sectors including mining and digital infrastructure. You will work closely with senior partners and associates, gaining exposure to cutting-edge legal and commercial issues across multiple sectors and jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
Advising clients on the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of project financing arrangements, including limited recourse and non-recourse financing.
Acting on a range of energy, infrastructure, and natural resources projects, including those in the mining and digital infrastructure sectors.
Providing guidance on the regulatory, contractual, and risk management aspects of project financing.
ABOUT YOU
A lawyer with 3-8pqe in project finance, ideally gained at a leading international law firm or a top-tier boutique with a strong focus on energy, infrastructure, and natural resources projects, and with exposure to emerging markets.
Strong technical expertise in structuring and negotiating project finance transactions.
Demonstrable experience in cross-border transactions and working with multinational teams.
Solid understanding of the key legal and commercial aspects of project finance, including the interaction of finance documents, project documents, and regulatory issues.
A proven ability to manage client relationships and develop new business opportunities.
Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with a pragmatic approach to solving complex legal issues.
A proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a commitment to developing and sharing technical expertise.
An excellent academic background.
