COMMUNITY PLANNING Technical Officer – Building Control SO1 (SCP 25-27) £35,235 – £37,035 Subject to Job Evaluation Review in approx. one year. Plus 19% employer pension contribution 1 x Permanent, 37 hours per week Location: Mossley Mill but may be required to work at any Council site This is an office-based position and remote working is unavailable MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To assist the Building Control team to fulfil the Council\’s statutory duties regarding administration and enforcement of Building Regulations and allied legislation. To assist in the fulfilment of the Council\’s statutory duties including street naming, postal numbering, and dangerous structures and assist where required with fire risk assessment and access auditing. To coordinate data sharing projects or similar initiatives with other government agencies. To assist in the development and maintenance of the Council\’s Geographical Information System (GIS). To ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in an effective and timely manner to meet departmental objectives.
