I am working on an exciting opportunity with a global manufacturer based in Greater Manchester. The business are true market leaders in their field, they are looking to bring in an experienced Production Manager to the site. This role will report directly to the Operations Director and involves full responsibility for the full Production function at a large FMCG manufacturer.

Role Description

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of people resource in their area
  • Full responsibility for operational functions of the process area
  • Meet and exceed targets for efficiency, output, quality and wastage
  • Ensure that output volumes are met
  • Promote and ensure H&S standards are met throughout the functions at all levels
  • Take lead in performance developing, training and coaching of all staff. Manage disciplinaries and grievances
  • Work with other department heads, and teams to maintain processes
  • Undertake risk assessments
  • Ensure SOP\’s are robust, and make improvements/updates where necessary
  • Strategise, set and implement targets to ensure continuous improvement of all metrics such as OEE, OTIF

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 Years manufacturing experience within an engineering leadership role
  • Track record of successfully managing and developing teams and individuals
  • Highly experienced with engineering manufacturing environments, including assembly processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Critical thinking and strategy
  • Adaptability
