Category Insights Champion:Market Analysis: Lead the analysis of category performance using key platforms such as Nielsen, Kantar, and Mintel to identify business health, competitive threats, market trends and consumer behaviours.Strategic Planning: Develop a clear understanding on the drivers & barriers of the UK & Ireland path to purchase, and build actionable insights to drive category growth via innovation, core portfolio or retailer specific shopper initiativesReporting: Manage and present regular portfolio & category reports to internal stakeholders, ensuring data-driven decision-making.Future Pipeline Development: Assess market opportunities for innovation, reviewing product pipeline viability from a commercial, customer, and category perspective.Shopper Excellence:Shopper Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute the omnichannel trade marketing strategy, including differentiated channel propositionEnd-to-end shopper activation management: Own the shopper activation calendar from ideation, briefing, booking, implementation and post-event reportingCreative Activations: Create innovative shopper-specific activations that resonate with target retailer audiences and deliver category growthBudget Management: Own the category & shopper budget, ensuring spend is effectively allocated across activations, POS materials, and retailer initiatives to maximize ROI.In-Store Excellence: Oversee the design and implementation of permanent and temporary POS materials to ensure strong in-store presence & on-shelf visibilityRetailer Marketing Lead: Develop compelling retailer presentations grounded in category insights to secure buy-in for initiatives, NPD or new listingsROI Analysis: Work with commercial and finance teams to evaluate ROI on promotions, optimise trade spend and improve margin management Portfolio Price & Positioning Strategy:Price & Promotional Planning: Collaborate with internal account managers to develop effective pack-price architecture and promotional plans that drive sales and profitability.Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor pricing and market conditions to adjust strategies accordingly.NPD Strategy: Define distribution, recommended retail pricing, and promotional funding strategies for new product launches in collaboration with marketing, commercial, ops and finance teams.Pipeline & Plan Communication: Ensure outstanding cross-functional alignment and awareness of pipeline plans, equipping sales and category teams with the tools and templates needed for tracking and execution.
