SEMH Teaching Assistants

We work closely with a brilliant special school that unexpectedly have a few gaps for SEMH Teaching Assistant's at the school from September. The school look after students aged 4-16 with a variation of different special needs but are primarily focused around SEMH.

Having placed a few different candidates at the school over the years, I can confidently say how well supported you will be. They are such a lovely team who all love the work they do.

The roles

As mentioned previously there are a few different gaps across the year groups (Years 4, 5, 8, 9), so whichever age group you feel you best suited you can be placed accordingly! Due to the needs of the students it is essential that you have had some form of SEMH experience.

The role of TA is varied, providing general classroom support as well as 1-1 support inside an outside of the classroom. You must feel confident dealing with challenging behaviour, have a genuine interest in the well being of young people and a real want to work in a special school environment.

Working with Long-term Teachers:

We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools.
