Are you a dynamic leader looking to take the next step in your career? OneBlood is seeking a Phlebotomist Team Leader to provide leadership, instruction, and guidance to our collection staff during blood drives or at our branches.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides leadership, instruction, and guidance to the collection staff during blood drives or at branches; including assignment of meal/break periods
  • Ensures that staff follow applicable Policies and Procedures
  • Obtains medical history and vitals from donors and/or patients
  • Performs phlebotomy and collection procedures to collect blood or blood components
  • Assists with the recruitment of all donors including potential apheresis and platelet candidates and supports collection goals including ALYX conversions and split rates
  • Ensures excellent customer service and professionalism.
  • Drives a bloodmobile and other collection vehicles, as assigned, to and from collection sites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of leadership experience
  • Valid driver's license with 4 years of generally good history.
  • Open availability with no schedule restrictions.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow phlebotomy documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • No Certifications or Medical experience required! We provide paid phlebotomy and driving training!

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $18/hour
  • $3-$5 hourly shift differential if assigned to Mobiles
  • When trained to drive the Big Red Bus, an extra $1 will be added to base pay
  • Access to pay before payday
