Job Title: MIG Welder

Job Description

Perform MIG welds on 18-gauge mild steel and 1/2 inch mild steel, fabricating and welding parts/assemblies for pavement maintenance equipment, safety railings, and other pavement machine components and assemblies. Perform butt and fill welds, along with grinding and finishing on parts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welds on various thicknesses of mild steel.
  • Fabricate and weld parts for pavement maintenance equipment.
  • Conduct butt and fill welds consistently.
  • Grind and finish welded parts as necessary.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of MIG welding experience and/or technical degree.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
  • High School Diploma.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • MIG welding on mild steel is a plus.
  • Experience with flux core and stainless steel welding.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and using a tape measure.
  • Experience with sheet metal.

Work Environment

Work in a large, organized, and clean warehouse environment where Plymouth Industries fabricates and assembles their own equipment for the industrial roofing industry. The majority of materials used are mild steel, alongside outsourced piece parts such as motors, pneumatics, and electronics.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 – $27.00/hr.
