Job Description

Soar Autism Center is seeking a dedicated OT (Occupational Therapist) with an interest in autism to become part of our interdisciplinary team. Our mission is to create a network of clinics that deliver transformative, life-enhancing services to children with autism and their families. Emphasizing early intervention, comprehensive support, and developmentally appropriate learning, we aim to meet the unique needs of each child and family. Our focus is on providing integrated care tailored to the specific requirements of young children with autism.

Role Overview:

As an OT at Soar, you will:

  • Implement naturalistic occupational therapy for children aged 2-6 years in a center-based setting, with a focus on autism

  • Craft interventions aimed at improving gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding practices, and daily living activities tailored to the needs of children with autism

  • Perform multidisciplinary assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical areas (ABA, speech therapy, psychology), including co-treatments with speech therapists

  • Mentor and guide a team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to integrate OT goals into their therapy, enhancing their approach to autism care

  • Monitor the progress of clients, update treatment plans and goals, and communicate necessary adjustments to team members and families

  • Collaborate closely with families of children with autism, setting goals, building relationships, sharing progress, and providing coaching and support on their journey

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a similar field

  • Current licensure as a Occupational Therapist

  • Experience in working with children with autism or related developmental disorders

  • Strong understanding of and commitment to early intervention and integrated care approaches

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for supporting the growth and development of children with autism
