Job Title: Electronics Technician / Wire Harness Technician

Job Description

Join a dynamic team dedicated to building wire harnesses for a cutting-edge product. As a Wire Harness Technician, you will play a crucial role in developing better SOPs for new products and collaborating with the development team to enhance process efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble wire harnesses according to technical specifications, connecting wires, cables, and connectors to create functional harnesses for electronic systems.
  • Inspect completed wire harnesses for quality, ensuring proper connections, secure crimps, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including part numbers, quantities, and deviations from standard procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet production goals and ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Follow technical instructions for wire processing, cutting, soldering, and crimping/stripping wire.
  • Maintain an inventory of various parts and tools used in the assembling process.
  • Construct components, subunits, or simple models and adapt standard equipment following specific layouts and scientific diagrams.
  • Conduct tests or experiments, modify test setups, select, set up, and operate standard test equipment, and record test data.
  • Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in building wire harnesses.
  • Proficiency in wire processing, cutting, soldering, crimping/stripping wire.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Experience using a multi-meter.
  • Knowledge of panel building, blueprints, and radio frequency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous avionics or military experience (electronics technicians).
  • Understanding of NEC or ESD.
  • Radio frequency experience is preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled, very clean facility with a small team of 10 technicians, 1 manager, and 1 supervisor. The hours are 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. Occasional overtime may be required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanahan, South Carolina.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $32.00/hr.
