Job Description
Onin Staffing is seeking a skilled Sand Blaster to join our Industrial Coating Team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in abrasive blasting and a strong understanding of surface preparation for industrial coatings. This role is key to ensuring high-quality surface finishes in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
Pay Rate: $20 – $25/hour
Hours: 2nd Shift | 54 hours/week
- Monday – Thursday: 4:45 PM – 3:15 AM
- Friday: 2:30 PM – 11:15 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Work Experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate abrasive blasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces for coating
- Ensure proper masking and protection of parts before blasting
- Inspect surfaces for defects and ensure specifications are met
- Maintain blasting equipment and work area in a clean, safe, and organized condition
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Work effectively as part of a team in a production-driven environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial sandblasting or abrasive blasting
- Ability to work in confined spaces and wear full PPE, including respirators
- Understanding of surface profile standards (e.g., SSPC, NACE) preferred
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
