Job Description
A corrections facility is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Capron, Virginia.
This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, with a 3- or 6-month assignment and the option to extend. Credentialing takes approximately two weeks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with flexibility for 4/10s. The facility is open to MDs, autonomous NPs, or PAs. There is no call required, and providers typically see 1820 adult patients per day. A current VA license and DEA are required. The support team includes RNs and LPNs. While the primary documentation system is paper-based, Sapphire is used for prescriptions.
