Soliant Education is seeking a certified Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for an onsite, full-time position in Philadelphia, PA for the 20252026 school year. This role focuses on high school-level Math instruction, with a caseload of approximately 55 students across 4 different classes, including Algebra and Personal Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction in high school Math (e.g., Algebra, Personal Finance) to deaf and hard of hearing students.

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students needs and grade levels.

  • Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with significantly lower reading levels (1st4th grade).

  • Collaborate with general and special education staff, interpreters, and families to support student progress.

  • Maintain records, plete assessments, and participate in IEP meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (required).

  • Ability to teach high school-level Math courses.

  • Preferred: Pennsylvania Certification in High School Mathematics.

  • Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students is strongly preferred.

  • Experience working with special education populations is a plus.

  • Must be fortable working in an onsite school environment.
