Job Description
The Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating sheet metal for the production of lighting. This role involves the use of a laser and punch press machine, as well as performing machine setups. The Fabricator will examine specifications of orders using blueprints, drawings, and work orders, and fabricate work pieces according to these specifications. Ensuring the product meets desired standards will involve examining the work piece visually, by touch, or using tools such as tape rules, calipers, and gauges.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate sheet metal for lighting production using laser and punch press machines.
- Perform machine setups as required.
- Examine specifications of orders using blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Fabricate work pieces according to work order specifications.
- Ensure products meet desired standards by examining work pieces visually, by touch, or using measurement tools such as tape rules, calipers, and gauges.
Essential Skills
- Experience in fabricating sheet metal.
- Proficient in using calipers, tape measures, and reading blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with fabrication, blueprints, assembly, press brake, hand tools, and fitting.
Why Work Here?
Employees receive a 50-cent increase in pay upon conversion, and annual performance reviews at the end of each year. Merit increases and production bonuses are awarded based on performance and production levels.
Work Environment
The work environment is an indoor machine shop that is climate-controlled. The position offers a 2nd shift from 2pm to 11pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 – $22.00/hr.
