Must Haves:

  • High School Diploma or GED or technical college
  • 3+ YOE of welding/ blading experience
    • Hands on experience in grinding and fitment of welding job/assembly
    • Knowledge and awareness of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
    • Skilled in use of manual SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW welding processes
    • Capable of passing 6G position heavy wall weld test using both GTAW and SMAW process on both carbon and stainless steel
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability & interest to Travel both in and out of USA
  • OSHA 10 If they don’t have they get within first month of employment
  • Must have understanding of what a turbine stack looks like – understanding what outage work looks like
  • Proficiency in reading and writing

Pluses:

  • Knowledge of EN Standard
  • Passport (if you do not have one Siemens Energy can help you acquire one during onboarding)
  • Past experience working at ABB, GE, Mitsubishi
  • High Mechanical aptitude & know how to weld for the blading side they can pick up blading process – could be days where they swing a Balkan hammer into a chisel for 12 hours

Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a fast-paced job that works at customer sites to support the energy industry in many different welding and turbine repair applications. Jobs very from welding support to blading on varies components. You will be expected to travel domestically and internationally, potentially on short notice.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Be engaged in performing welding operations to meet the required manufacturing and engineering specifications for turbine generator field services equipment.
  • Ability and willingness for Heavy Travel (All business expenses are paid)
  • Ability and willingness to work a high percentage of overtime – including 12-hour shifts.
  • Mechanical skills for precision assembly of turbine blades and components including hand riveting

D2D:

  • Every day starts and ends with a shift turnover meeting
    • Talking safety, risks, and tasks for the day assigned by an engineer or site level individual
  • Jump and execute on daily goals and tasks
  • Station/ workspace clean up
  • Finish day with turnover meeting for the next shift
