Catering Assistants

Industry: Leisure

Location: Wootton, Isle of Wight

Hours: 7am – 12noon and 5pm – 9pm shifts available

Days: Monday – Sunday shifts available

Duration: ongoing on a week to week basis

Duties:

Working as part of a positive, organised and well established team in a busy, high volume, canteen style service environment including:

  1. Serving customers to advised portion and quality standards,
  2. Clearing tables and trolleys,
  3. Loading and unloading dishwashers and washing up larger cooking items,
  4. Cleaning kitchen area, dining room and setting up for next service,
  5. Adherence to health and safety and COSHH regulations.

Experience:

Must have good customer service and communication skills with the ability to work calmly within a fast paced environment, to instructions.
Must be able to stand for long periods and undertake basic manual handling tasks.
Reliability is required; catering experience is preferred but not essential.
A food safety / hygiene certification is an advantage; however, training will be provided.
A valid DBS (within 12 months or part of the update service) is preferred.
Own transport is recommended due to location.

Salary: £12.60 per hour worked
