Required Skills & Experience

Insight Global is seeking a Lead design drafter to join their team in South Windsor, CT. The Lead Design Drafter will provide advanced technical drafting and design support to engineering teams, primarily using Creo Parametric. This role is responsible for creating and checking detailed 3D models and drawings of mechanical, structural, and piping systems. The candidate will ensure all documentation aligns with drafting standards and ASME Y14 guidelines. Responsibilities include managing CAD software tools, supporting drawing sign-off and release, and maintaining the internal Drafting Manual. The Lead Design Drafter will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers to deliver high-quality, innovative design solutions. This position also involves standardizing models and drawings across teams and mentoring others in drafting best practices. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
