Join our team as an Assembly Technician, where you will play a crucial role in the production of small silicone components for the medical industry. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and steady hands to handle delicate tasks. You will work in a clean room environment, focusing on the assembly, inspection, and trimming of small silicon parts.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and inspect small silicon parts for the medical industry.
- Work under a microscope in a clean environment to remove excess silicone from tiny parts.
- Use brushes, tweezers, or scraping tools to remove excess silicone (flash).
- Operate a clicker press to trim flash from parts.
- Inspect parts for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with a team to set up the work station.
- Fill out job sheets with part numbers, lot numbers, and quantities, requiring basic math skills.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in inspection, quality, and final assembly processes.
- Experience with microscope inspection and quality assurance.
- 1-3 years of experience with detailed inspection and steady hands for delicate work.
- Ability to add and subtract.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in part trimming and inspection.
- Familiarity with plastic injection processes and medical device standards.

Work Environment
Train on the 1st shift for three months (Monday to Friday, 5am to 3:15pm) and then transition to the 2nd shift (Monday to Friday, 3pm to 1:15am). Work in a clean room, seated at a desk, using tweezers and microscopes. Our small-scale manufacturing company is located in Saginaw, Michigan, and has recently expanded due to company growth. We maintain an incredibly clean environment to meet medical regulations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 – $18.00/hr.
