Job Description

Seeking a Locums Site Physician Assistant (PA) whowill oversee and provide high-quality medical care to patients at DiagnosticTreatment Centers (DTCs). This role ensures comprehensive management of patientcare, supports interdisciplinary teams, and helps improve quality,cost-effectiveness, and utilization of services.

Compensation:  $72 – $84Per Hour

Schedule: 

·        FT or PT (3 Days/week)

·        Monday – Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm

·        Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage medical care and treatment plans for site patients, ensuring excellent clinical oversight
  • Serve as the primary care provider for a caseload of patients within the Diagnostic and Treatment Center
  • Support the medical needs of all site patients, including primary care and community-based members
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, hospitalization reviews, and family/team consultations
  • Maintain a strong medical presence during patient care initiation events
  • Identify and implement improvements in care quality, cost control, and utilization efficiency
  • Contribute to Utilization Review processes for medical services provided by the IDT/DTC

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Residency in Internal Medicine or Family Practice required
  • Fellowship, diploma, or experience in geriatrics and palliative care preferred
  • Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working with frail or elderly populations, or willingness to complete required training upon hire
  • Current, active, and unrestricted New York State Physician Assistant License
  • Current NY DEA registration
  • NCCPA Board Certification
  • Current BLS Certification
  • No history of malpractice or license loss at the Diagnostic Treatment Center
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
