Job Description
A school-based nursing professional with educator skills is needed to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support within a K-12 educational environment in Allentown, PA, with an immediate opportunity available in Reading, PA. This contract role is designed to support an elementary caseload during the current school year (CSY), ensuring students receive appropriate health care while in the classroom.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering one-on-one nursing care to students with special healthcare needs
- Monitoring student health, administering medication, and responding to medical emergencies
- Collaborating with educators and school staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment
- Maintaining accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
- Educating school staff and families on student health plans and care procedures
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Current and valid LPN or RN licensure
- Experience working in school health settings, particularly with elementary-aged children
