Job Description
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client to hire a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant for a contract opportunity in Daly City, California. In this role, you’ll manage key accounting functions—general ledger, month‑end closings, AP/AR, reconciliations, and reporting. You’ll support senior staff while ensuring accurate financial data and compliance with GAAP and tax regulations—helping drive informed business decisions.
PLEASE NOTE: All duties for this role are performed at the client’s office in Daly City, California.
Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain journal entries, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliation

Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and account analyses

Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable; monitor vendor payments and collections vintti.com

Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly

Produce financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and monthly variance reports

Support external and internal audits—prepare schedules and documentation

Prepare tax filings (e.g., sales/use tax, income tax) and coordinate with tax professionals

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing variance analysis reports

Recommend and implement process improvements and internal controls

Collaborate across departments to gather and interpret financial data as needed
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2–4 years of relevant accounting experience (corporate or public) vintti.com

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)

Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial regulations

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Effective communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality

CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA exam
