Job Description
Sr Electrical Engineer
Location San Jose, CA (Hybrid, 3x a week on-site)
Pay: 140k-145k base
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Electrical Engineer to lead and execute electrical engineering projects, particularly in the data center sector. The successful candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing electrical systems and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems for data centers
- Conduct load calculations and power supply system analysis
- Utilize BIM tools such as Revit and BIM 360 for electrical layout and design
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met
- Develop and maintain project documentation using Bluebeam
- Ensure compliance with LEED and sustainability standards
- Perform high voltage system design and analysis
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on data centers
- Proficient in electrical design software such as Revit, SKM, and BIM 360
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) would be a big bonus
- Strong understanding of high voltage systems and power supply design
- PE Cert would be a bonus but not required
- LEED certification is a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
