Position Overview
We are a thriving remote first enterprise financial services organization now seeking a talented Mortgage Application System Developer to join our Software Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing our mortgage application systems, ensuring seamless integration with RESTful APIs and maintaining high performance and security standards. This role will focus on both front-end and back-end development to deliver a comprehensive solution for our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement mortgage application systems with robust functionality.
- Integrate RESTful APIs to facilitate data exchange between applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Perform application systems development using SQL Server and other relevant technologies.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.
- Create and maintain Data Flow Diagrams to visualize system processes and data movement.
- Assist in batch processing and data management tasks to ensure system efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends to continuously enhance system performance and user experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in application systems development (4+ years), particularly in the financial or mortgage sector.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API integration and design principles. Modern web/API architecture.
- Experience with SQL Server and Microsoft ISS stack.
- Familiarity with Loan Origination Systems and related finance and mortgage applications is a big plus.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, and Python.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks like REACT, NodeJS, and Next.js, Deno, Vite.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools for automated deployment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a continuous improvement mentality and communicate effectively.
