This role demands a strong mechanical aptitude, requiring you to perform electrical assembly operations in accordance with documented manufacturing procedures. You will be tasked with building trailer and truck-mounted asphalt equipment from the ground up, including the sub-assembly of individual component parts and their final assembly into complete and finished products.
Responsibilities
- Use basic hand and power tools to sub-assemble individual components such as engine cabinets, control boxes, and shovel cleaning compartments.
- Assemble sub-components into the final manufactured unit, including mounting 2-4 ton capacity hoppers to trailer frames.
- Install control boxes, wiring harnesses, and various heating systems such as LP and Diesel burners.
- Assemble and install electrical components like wire harnesses and control boxes.
- Follow electrical schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate builds.
- Build and wire both high and low voltage control panels.
- Install wiring systems on truck bodies and mounted equipment.
- Support the Service team with electrical troubleshooting.
- Occasionally assist with light mechanical assembly.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in complex assembly
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents
- Proficiency in using electronic testing equipment (e.g., voltmeter)
- Experience with Diesel, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and electrical control systems
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Certified Diesel Technician or similar experience is a bonus
- Experience with hydraulics and/or other power transmission systems preferred
- Familiarity with 12-volt electrical systems preferred
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., wire cutters, crimpers, soldering tools)
- Experience with soldering and terminal installation is a plus

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 – $27.00/hr.
