An opportunity is available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide essential services within a school setting. This role is designed for the upcoming school year, focusing on supporting K-12 students from July 28, 2025, to May 22, 2026, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.

Mcdonough, GA

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students fine motor skills, sensory processing abilities, and other areas affecting their educational performance.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other service providers to ensure cohesive support for students.
  • Advise school staff on environmental adaptations and assistive technology to enhance student independence.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communications with stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Georgia state license as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in a school-based setting or working with pediatric populations is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IDEA regulations and IEP processes.
  • Excellent assessment, intervention, and clinical reasoning skills.
