Space Planner (Hiring Immediately)

Role
We are seeking a talented and collaborative space planner who is passionate about layout and design with experience in grocery fixture layouts and hospitality interior planning with strong design and problem solving skills. You will support project teams, rapidly produce test fits, diagrams, space plans, and provide programming, analysis, and interpretation of space planning metrics to make recommendations and propose solutions for client layout needs and equipment requirements. Working closely with the design leadership and project teams you will develop space plans using information from client meetings, expertise and trends in layout design. Space Planner must be responsible for project deliverables, meeting overall project design schedules, as well as preparing layout presentations. Successful candidate will have a positive attitude under pressure and ability to complete many tasks quickly, accurately, and efficiently in a team setting, exhibiting patience and rigor. Positively interact with the design team, and have a personality aligned with ours.

Responsibilities – Develop and prepare bubble plans, colored schematic plans and CAD fixture plans. Must have a superior ability to understand formal and spatial design concepts and finishes. Healthy curiosity and the ability to solve problems is paramount. Must have mastery of Autocad and skill and knowledge of Revit. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative, Sketchup, and MS Office is valued. Excellent verbal/written communication abilities with the temperament to effectively train or mentor junior staff in space planning, layouts and technical skills. May be asked to present your work to clients and others.

Qualifications –

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in a design environment, with specific knowledge of grocery, food

• retail, restaurant and hospitality projects and process. Preferred to have a degree in Architecture, Interior

• Design, or Interior Architecture, but not required. Must provide examples of prior work in PDF format and a narrative cover letter when submitting.

Required Skills
