ER Registered Nurse, Night Shift

 

We are currently looking for experienced RN's for Full-time ER positions!

Competitive Compensation:

  • Pay range for this position, starting at $36/hr.
  • This position includes a $3/hr. night shift differential and weekend differential of $4/hr.

Job Preview

The ER Registered Nurse in provides planned and highly skilled nursing care for the patient.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care as needed.

• Assess and document patient status.

• Carry out treatments and/or orders.

• Assist in positioning and/or transporting the patient.

• Demonstrate a working knowledge of equipment, instruments, supplies, and procedures utilized in that specific nursing position.

• Record treatment, comments, and notes as necessary on the appropriate patient chart, alerting other personnel to all orders, problems, and other pertinent information.

• Is flexible, adaptive, and able to accept and implement new ideas and approaches.

• Administer medication, IV therapy and drips as ordered.

• Discharge patients to home or another appropriate place accordingly and per physician’s order.

• Participate in regular in-service training and other quality assurance activities, as well as continuing education seminars and workshops.

• Provide emergent treatment in conjunction with Physicians to treat all life-threatening situations (i.e., cardiac arrest, respiratory failure).

• Perform other, related work as required or requested.

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.

• A Valid Illinois nursing license is required.

• Current CPR/AED card (or willing to obtain upon hire) is required.

• ER and/or ICU experience is preferred but not required.

• Must have skill in handling critical situations.

• Must have experience in utilization of personnel.

• Must possess ability to relate to all professionals under stress and in emergency situations.

• Must have knowledge of exposure control plan.

• Must be able to utilize universal precautions.
