Position Type: Onsite, School-Based
The Portland Public Schools are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our school-based health team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with students, staff, and families to support student health and academic success.
Position Details:

Part-time during Summer 2025

Full-time during the 20252026 school year

Onsite role in a school-based setting
Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct nursing care to students during the school day

Administer medications and manage treatment plans for chronic conditions

Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid

Maintain accurate student health records

Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare providers

Promote a safe and healthy school environment

Qualifications:

Current and valid Maine RN or LPN license

School nursing or pediatric experience preferred, but not required
