Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
The mechanic is responsible for the restoring classic cars and ensuring the car is mechanically sounds and safe. This position does start off as temp-to-hire. Full-time Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
Key Activities:
- Install vehicle parts or accessories.
- Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
- Disassemble equipment to inspect for deficiencies.
- Rebuild parts or components.
- Reassemble equipment after repair.
- Confer with coworkers to coordinate work activities.
- Confer with customers or users to assess problems.
- Clean work areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Competencies:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or Mechanic certification preferred.
- Organizational Skills.
- Attention to detail with high accuracy.
- Ability to problem solve complex issues.
- Proficiency with MS Office, accounting software and internet research.
Environment:
- Standard shop setting
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to sit for up to 4 hours at a time, bend, and stretch
- Various temperatures and artificial light
