Job Description
We are seeking a Patient Concierge to join a team at a medical clinic. This role primarily involves medical front desk duties with a focus on enhancing the patient experience. The successful candidate will work part-time to full-time, with an initial training period, and will need to travel between multiple locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage patient-related messages and questions timely.
- Assist patients with resolving issues within the scope of practice, involving the clinical care team when necessary.
- Check and distribute daily faxes, scan documents, and maintain medical records.
- Enter claims for collections and assist with medical record requests.
- Register and guide patients through intake processes, ensuring completion and accuracy of paperwork.
- Maintain clinic areas and manage transactions using POS systems.
- Provide coverage at multiple office locations and attend required staff meetings.
- Verify insurance benefits and engage with referral sources.
- Enhance the experience of referring organizations and providers to the clinics.
- Other duties as assigned to help the office run efficiently.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of healthcare experience.
- Proficiency in computer skills and ability to navigate team communication tools.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- Competence in handling multiple tasks and maintaining organization.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare administrative experience.
- Experience with medical terminology and electronic medical record programs is preferred.
Skills
- Technical skills: Computer knowledge, especially MS Office and data entry.
- Soft skills: Teamwork, communication, organization, and handling stress effectively.
Additional Requirements
- This is a driving role where the candidate must be willing to travel to different clinic locations, although mileage is not reimbursed.
- Flexible work schedule as needed by the clinic locations.
