Job Description
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to work in an elementary school setting in Maple Lake, MN. The position begins with a workshop week starting August 26, 2025, and continues until the role is filled. This full-time contract position requires 40 hours per week supporting students in grades K-6.
Responsibilities include providing resource-level special education services to a caseload of 9-11 students, including two Setting III students. The role involves delivering the curriculum directly, managing individualized education programs (IEPs), and collaborating with general education staff. The focus will be on students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Other Health Disabilities (OHD), and Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD).
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education licensure required
- Autism Behavior Specialist (ABS) certification is preferred
- Experience working in an elementary resource classroom setting
- Ability to manage caseload and deliver tailored instruction
