Job Description
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available for the school year on a contract basis, covering maternity leave. This opportunity involves supporting an elementary caseload and requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. The assignment runs from February through the end of the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and individualized treatment plans for speech and language disorders in elementary students.
- Collaborate with teachers and related service staff to integrate speech therapy goals within the educational environment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute professional insights to support student development.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and therapy goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with elementary school populations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders in children.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
