Due to continued investment and sustained growth, a market-leading engineering organisation is looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly complex, innovative engineering environment, taking ownership of the full product life cycle for a range of cutting‑edge consumer electronics. You’ll be involved in everything from initial concept through to manufacture, playing a key role in bringing next‑generation products to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full product life‑cycle design of mechanical parts, components, and systems for a high‑tech product portfolio.
- Deliver exciting new product development projects from concept to production.
- Create both conceptual and detailed designs across a complex and innovative product range.
- Collaborate closely with customers, suppliers, and cross‑functional internal teams to ensure design success.
- Produce and maintain accurate engineering documentation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
About You
- Proven experience designing mechanical components and/or systems using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, Inventor, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in full life‑cycle design, from initial concept through to manufacturing.
- A formal qualification in Engineering or Product Design.
Working Hours & Flexibility
- Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
- Flexible start and finish times.
- Hybrid working: 1 day per week from home.
