The Opportunity We are seeking an EC&I Construction Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of engineering projects in a highly regulated environment. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that safety, schedule, commercial performance, and team productivity are prioritised and delivered to the highest standards. Duration 6 months Hours 50/hrs per week, requires weekends on a rota pattern Your duties and responsibilities will be: Support the Project Manager and wider leadership team to ensure efficient project delivery. Provide strong safety leadership and ensure full compliance with EHS&Q requirements. Maintain oversight and assurance of project progress through timely and accurate reporting. Build and manage high-performing project teams, ensuring adequate resourcing and sustained workforce productivity. Identify and mitigate key project risks and blockers, while recognising and acting on opportunities for improvement. Assess work programmes for viability, priorities, and resource requirements to maximise success. Ensure commercial control and compliance with client procedures are maintained. Manage the performance of key suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring commercial terms are upheld. Maintain ownership of schedule interdependencies, taking proactive measures to address risks. You will have the following qualifications & experience: Proven experience delivering projects within highly regulated industries (e.g., nuclear, defence, energy, etc.). HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline (preferably electrical). Project Management qualification (e.g., APM, PRINCE2) preferred. Strong, demonstrable knowledge of the full project lifecycle. Solid understanding and practical experience with NEC contract management.
