Fabrication Workshop Supervisor Location: Aberdeen Salary: £19/hr+ (DOE) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Fabrication Workshop Supervisor to lead their busy and dynamic fabrication team. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with a strong background in metal fabrication and proven supervisory experience. As Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing workloads, ensuring high-quality output, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and motivated working environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise a team of fabricators, welders, and apprentices Coordinate daily workflow, allocate tasks, and ensure project deadlines are met Maintain high standards of quality control and health & safety compliance Monitor production efficiency and implement improvements where necessary Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety briefings Liaise with production managers, design teams, and clients where required Train and mentor workshop staff and apprentices Manage stock levels of materials and consumablesSkills & Experience Required Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within a fabrication or engineering workshop Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding (MIG/TIG), and reading technical drawings Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Forklift and crane licenses (desirable) Relevant trade qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds / Apprenticeship)What We Offer Competitive salary and overtime opportunities Supportive team environment Opportunities for career development and training Modern, well-equipped workshop facilities
