Job description

The company are looking to appoint an experienced Graduate/ Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team to further develop their career in an exciting, complex and innovating technical department.
This exciting role is pivotal as we continue our journey of delivering engineering excellence and innovation in solving our clients\’ complex requirements, enhancing the company reputation as a leading supplier in our market sectors.
Ultimately, you will work closely with different internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed according to schedule and budget.

Responsibilities
Able to adhere to workload schedule\’s, goal focussed.
Draughting of drawings and creation of 3D models to a high standard.
Use ERP to build BOM\’s & release Work Orders from CAD Drawings.
Communicate effectively and professionally with other employees.
Adhere to internal quality and reporting procedures.
Support the engineering department with drawings, modelling and admin work.
Completion of ECR\’s and updates to systems.
Shadowing of Senior Engineers in meetings, may involve minute taking.

Requirements and skills
Good understanding of CAD Software (Preferably E Plan).
Degree qualification or equivalent experience in an electrical technical discipline.
Analytical skills for evaluating information and solving problems.
A good understanding of basic Engineering principles, including PLC\’s, safety systems, control panel building, variable speed drives, fault finding, testing & commissioning electrical process systems.
Good working understanding of BS7671, BS13849 & BS60204
Development of design concepts and schematics.
Detail–oriented.
Organisational skills for keeping track of workload and individual priorities.
An understanding of value engineering.
UK trips to clients (Supervised).
Technical report writing skills.
