Maths & Finance Tutor

Liverpool John Moores University International Study Centre is recruiting for a Maths and Finance Tutor to join their teaching team. This role involves delivering modules in Mathematics (for Business) and Finance to Level 4 students, including financial accounting, financial reporting, and management accounting, primarily for university preparation programmes.

The position offers a variable hours – permanent contract, based in Liverpool, with a salary of £38.27 per hour. The successful candidate will be responsible for high-quality teaching, marking, module leadership, assessment, and student support, fostering an engaging and effective blended learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Delivering high-quality teaching to international students
2. Marking and providing feedback on assessments
3. Acting as Module Leader, coordinating tutors, updating materials, and reviewing assessments
4. Managing assessments and student progress
5. Promoting differentiation and technology-enhanced learning
6. Contributing to reports and maintaining accurate records
7. Participating in staff meetings and professional development

Candidate requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject area
• Relevant teaching qualification
• Experience teaching international students and developing blended learning materials
• Experience with Virtual Learning Environments
