Overview
We are supporting a leading organisation within the talent and workforce solutions sector to recruit a Rate and Data Manager. This is a high-impact, data-focused role within their central operations function, responsible for maintaining the accuracy of rate data across multiple service lines and supporting large-scale customer onboarding projects.
Working within a fast-paced environment that processes high volumes of data daily, you will oversee critical information relating to worker pay rates, supplier margins, statutory rate elements and contractual adjustments. The role suits someone meticulous, analytical and experienced with complex data structures within recruitment, payroll, workforce management or vendor-neutral environments.
Key Responsibilities
Own system configuration and governance for all rate changes across multiple business workstreams.
Oversee accurate maintenance of worker pay rates, supplier margins, vendor-neutral charges and statutory elements.
Ensure all rate data is created and maintained in line with contract requirements.
Manage accuracy across rate elements including:
Employer NI, apprenticeship levy and AWR/WTR holiday entitlement
Supplier uplifts, management fees and framework fees
Rebates, gainshares and tenure discounts
Plan and execute global updates (Pay Awards, RPI adjustments, statutory changes).
Support system updates and new functionality in collaboration with Product and Strategy teams.
Lead change control governance, ensuring approvals and updates follow the correct protocols.
Identify gaps or inefficiencies within processes and implement improvements.
Manage a small team responsible for day-to-day rate maintenance and ticket resolution.
Conduct regular rate audits to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
Work closely with Project, Finance and Operational teams during new customer implementations.
Provide regular data reports and updates to internal stakeholders.
The Ideal Candidate
Strong experience in rate management within recruitment, payroll, vendor-neutral or contingent workforce environments.
Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or similar field.
Excellent analytical and data management skills.
Confident team leader with proven experience managing workloads across multiple contributors.
Strong communication skills, able to tailor messaging for different audiences.
Highly organised, proactive and calm under pressure.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
Comfortable learning new platforms and systems quickly.
High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
Experience working in fast-paced environments with competing deadlines. xiskglj
