Your tasks

Job Purpose:

You will work in the Ramp Operations Team, ensuring high-performance standards in the smooth, timely, and accurate processing of passenger baggage and aircraft turnaround.

You should demonstrate a hardworking, adaptable attitude and thrive on variety in the workplace. Experience in aviation, customer service, and airside operations would be advantageous.

Main Responsibilities & Objectives:

  • Complete processes in accordance with CAA, DfT, airline, airport, and company procedures.
  • Perform accurate sortation of outbound passenger baggage.
  • Participate in all aircraft turnaround activities as instructed by the Ramp Team Leader.
  • Operate Ground Service Equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, including FOD removal and equipment checks/cleaning.
  • Assist with baggage loading/unloading issues accurately and efficiently, keeping Team Leaders informed.
  • Work cohesively with the team to maximize cooperation and operational efficiency.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure high service standards.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.
  • Meet or exceed Airline Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Address performance variances promptly and honestly to maintain group integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, HSE, airlines, airports, and company procedures.
  • Perform all tasks accurately, efficiently, and safely within time constraints.

Position: 30 hours per week, fixed-term contract.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Desirable: Pushback and headset communication skills
  • Hardworking, team player, flexible, available for 24-hour roster
  • Ramp experience and equipment operation training (e.g., Hi-Lo, Pushback) preferred

Must be able to:

  • Provide a 5-year work and activity history without gaps
  • Have been a UK resident for the last 5 years
  • Obtain a clear DBS certificate
