Import Merchandiser | £35,000 | Manchester | Hybrid | Apparel & Accessories

The Role
As an Import Merchandiser, you'll be the vital link between our creative vision and final product delivery. You'll ensure that every step of the production journey runs smoothly – from initial development to final delivery – by working directly with suppliers, internal teams, and customers. You'll help manage our fast-paced critical path and play a key role in ensuring collections arrive on time and to standard.
Key Responsibilities

Critical Path Management – Lead the critical path process, from order confirmation to delivery, flagging risks and keeping all stakeholders aligned.

Supplier Liaison – Build strong relationships with offshore factories (Far East and European), ensuring clear, daily communication around production timelines and approvals.

Order Placement & Margin Management – Place and track bulk orders, ensuring they meet margin targets and align with seasonal pricing strategies.

Wholesale Account Support – Manage key customer accounts, confirming order details and keeping them updated on delivery timelines.

Problem Solving – Identify delays or issues quickly and implement proactive, solution-focused actions to keep production on track.

Shipping & Stock Monitoring – Work cross-functionally to manage shipments, monitor ETAs, and ensure timely deliveries.

Cross-functional Collaboration – Work closely with Garment Tech, Design, Buying and Quality teams to ensure smooth, aligned execution.

Reporting & Admin – Keep meticulous records of orders, approvals, and shipments using Excel, PLM, or ERP tools.
What We're Looking For

3+ years' experience in a fashion merchandising or production role (wholesale or import)

In-depth knowledge of the fashion supply chain, from development through to delivery

A natural organiser with high attention to detail and the ability to multitask under pressure

Strong Excel and PLM/ERP skills

Excellent communicator – confident with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
