At the cutting edge of fashion, Pentex is a global design and manufacturing business with its headquarters in the heart of London. We have been established for over 30 years and are an expanding business with a worldwide client base. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Garment Technologist looking to develop their career further within a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a friendly, fast paced and experienced Technical team consisting of Garment Technologists, Graders, Pattern Cutters and Machinists. Role & responsibilities: Manage all samples before the fit meeting press/reference samples, specing initial samples, chasing production samples, uploading the PS chase up list. Manage and inspect samples for fit and quality, sewing on buttons, ensure samples are tagged up with date. i.e., sealer, factory PP, PS etc. Holds own areas of responsibility for customer. Writing up comments, responding to emails, liaising cross department, attending handover meetings. Liaise with factories regarding fit comments and spec requirements. Liaise with internal design, sales and production teams. Understanding status reports and updating the critical path system. Chasing and gathering information, chasing correct trims, uploading status updates on PLM. Creating Tech Packs, working closely with pattern cutters. Evaluating design samples for cost and production issues to ensure fit for purpose. The candidate: A minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar role in. Strong work ethic . Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail. Good interpersonal and communication skills, confident presenter. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Good eye for commercial product and construction. Passionate, enthusiastic, shows initiative. A strong interest and understanding of the industry, whats happening on the high street and social media. Commercial awareness interpreting and translating ? designs to meet the manufacturing capabilities. Good level of k nowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting and fitting.
