The role
As a Refrigeration Fitter, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary.
Day-to-day, you’ll undertake fitting activities, repairs and inspections on refrigeration systems and equipment on Royal Navy and other entitled Vessels.
- Maintain a mixture of chilled water plant, and cool & cold rooms along with general maintenance of all refrigeration needs including pressure testing.
- Identification and rectification of all system, manufacture, defects and alterations to ensure the continued availability and performance of Submarines, Surface Vessels and the Estate.
- Work within all H&S legislation, Safe Systems of Work and control of work processes within current policies.
Please note that this position involves working in confined spaces. Candidates must be able to work comfortably and perform tasks in restricted spaces.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at FaslaneMonday – Thursday.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
