We have a vacancy for a Facilities Coordinator within the Security team who are part of the Facilities Division, Lancaster University. You will be based in the Library on Bailrigg Campus. The post is offered on a fixed term basis of 6 months. You will work an average 27 hours per week on a rotational basis. During term the standard shift pattern is 12 hour shifts working 06.00 to 18.00 and 18.00 to 06.00 seven days a week. Out of term these hours may vary dependent on the opening hours of the Library.
Facilities are responsible for all property services on behalf of the University, including cleaning, grounds maintenance, security, catering and general upkeep of the Estate.
You should be hard working, reliable, willing to learn and be committed to delivering excellent customer service. Security experience is not essential but desirable with experience of working in a similar environment. You should be educated to GCSE level in Maths and English and be committed to high standards, able to work on your own initiative and have a flexible approach and attitude to solving day to day problems. You should also have a willingness to undergo development training.
