Are you passionate about teaching mental math in a fun and engaging way? Joystick Learning is seeking a freelance Abacus Educator to create pre-recorded lessons and/or conduct live online classes for children aged 5–18.
We’re an inclusive creative learning platform committed to helping every child — including SEND learners — develop essential life and academic skills through interactive and imaginative teaching.
What You’ll Do:
- Teach foundational to advanced abacus concepts using visual and hands-on methods.
- Deliver short video classes (30 – 45 minutes) and/or live, interactive sessions via our platform.
- Design a simple class outline or curriculum for approval.
- Inspire curiosity, focus, and confidence in young learners.
Requirements:
- Prior experience teaching Abacus to children (online or offline)
- Clear communication, patience, and creativity
- Access to video recording tools (guidelines provided)
- Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate content
- Organized, proactive, and able to work independently
- Open to educators globally – UK-based freelancers must provide a DBS; non-UK educators must show an equivalent background check
