Temporary contract from September 2025 to April 2026 to cover a period of maternity leave
About this role
The Student Wellbeing Adviser will provide initial help and support for students and refer students, where appropriate, to other members of the Students, Support and Information Services team or external agencies, being aware of legal, ethical, and health implications.
About you
Empathetic, with excellent interpersonal skills and an understanding of the pressures facing students, you will offer support, acting as a first point of contact and signposting to other available services both within and outside of the University. You will also develop and maintain close and effective links with key staff within the team, liaising with a range of relevant staff both within the University and outside organizations.
With excellent organisational skills, the successful applicant will need to maintain confidential case notes for students as well as provide supporting evidence for mitigating circumstances, in consultation with the Student Support Services Manager and registered professionals.

You’ll be joining a highly professional, passionate, and student-focused team, covering a range of services including Student Health and Wellbeing, Disability and Dyslexia Services, Student Money Advice, and International Student Advice. The wider team includes colleagues based in our Support and Information Zone, providing first-level support and signposting.
